Thank you for your interest in Elite Pet Service. My name is Sue Ruales-Hoffman, and I am the owner / operator of Elite Pet Service. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and worked in the school system for over 10 years as a special education teacher before deciding to pursue my lifelong dream of working with animals.

I have always been the mom of rescue dogs, and our current dog, a pit bull named, Remy, was returned to the Humane Society twice before finding his forever home with us. Soon after we brought him home, we had to travel and needed to board him.  Remy was terrified as we walked out of the kennel, and my heart told me he was scared he was losing his family all over again. He suffered from severe separation anxiety, and depression even though the employees at the kennel were very loving and kind. He stopped eating, or wanting to go outside, and he was suffering. The kennel staff didn't want to bother us with that information, so we didn't know he was in distress until we went to pick him up. This experience wreaked emotional havoc on my sweet boy.  It took close to 10 days before he was himself and I knew I could never board him again.
